Even though in the past few decades Zasip has greatly increased in size and many older houses have adopted a new appearance, visitors can still experience the old spirit of the village. Zasip boasts numerous houses built in typical Gorenjska style, including stone portals and window frames that are generally carved from green tuff stone from Peračica. Visitors to Zasip can see two neatly-renovated wayside shrines in Mužje and at the base of the Hom trail. Some village troughs and military bunkers, tunnels, and paths from different war periods have also been preserved.
